Apple Computers- Using the Cops as Their Private Goon Squad

Why else would the San Mateo cops seize all of the computers of a reporter who has been writing about the next generation of iPhone?

I smell a good civil rights lawsuit coming down the road.

UPDATE: Apple has very close ties with the cops that bashed down the door to the reporter's home.

The San Mateo Sheriff's Department is basically Steve and Larry's private police force. (Steve and Larry being, of course, Steve Jobs of Apple and Larry Ellison of Oracle, who basically own the county and run it as a company town). This is just one more in a long history of company towns using their cops to stand up for the company, not for the law.
