How Many Nuclear Weapons Have Been Detonated So Far?

The answer may surprise you: 2,053



The number may be low by at least one test, as the suspected Israeli/South African test(s) in 1979 are not counted.

The US detonated just over half the total number of nuclear weapons (1,031 tests, two combat uses). It was awfully nice of the Aussies to let the Brits blow up a bunch of nuclear weapons on their territory, though.
