zOMG!!! Terrorists Might Use the Intertubes!!!1!!

That's the latest freak-out by the DBP: Terrorists might get their hands on a computer!
Detailed video obtained through live Web-based camera feeds combined with street-level and direct overhead imagery views from Internet imagery sites allow terrorists to conduct remote surveillance of multiple potential targets without exposing themselves to detection.
Right. Google Earth has been around for several years, now. Traffic and other webcams have been accessible for a decade, if not longer.

And only now do the alert putzim at DBP think that this might be an issue?

Good work, guys. Here's a tip for you: Don't look up when you are waling int he rain. You might drown.

$56+ billion we give those clowns each year, not to mention whatever they get through black programs. I'm not seeing what we get from the DBP that is worth a tenth of that. Or a hundredth.
