69 Years Ago

69 years ago today, the first of five German U-Boats sailed to begin commerce-raiding operations off the east coast of the United States. It was the start of the Second Happy Time.

Yes and the chamber of commerce fought putting out the lights all along the east coast, so we were treated to the fires of dying ships and men while NYC and Atlantic city blazed in full light giving glory..
