UK School Administrators Set New Records for Being Stupid

A teacher was fired for allowing students to go sledding after class.

The only good news for the fired teacher is that in Europe, you have a right to a job, unlike here in America where a job is a privilege to be taken away by your employer upon a whim. It is very likely that he is going to win his employment tribunal appeal and be reinstated. Not like here in America, where we are employed at the whim of our lords and masters, the grifter class who control most of the wealth of America, and can be dismissed with all the ease of a medieval lord deciding to off one of his uppity serfs. In Europe, it takes a *lot* to get you fired -- indeed, even simply eliminating positions to do layoffs can take months of work to document and get proper approval from the appropriate government officials. From what I read of this story, the school is going to have an uphill battle proving that this was a firing offense under EU labor laws...
