British Tabloids Co-Opt the Banksters' Excuses

Read to the bottom of this story and you'll see that one of the mouthpieces for the British tabloids is offering this excuse for their hacking of mobile phones: We only provided what people wanted.

Which, when you drill down to it, is the same excuse that the banksters have offered ever since their bullshit mortgage-backed securities brought down the economy: "We only offered those crappy-ass mortgages because people would take them."

Which, when you think about it, also justifies selling kiddie porn, meth, contract killings and human slaves.
