CNN's Idea of Breaking News

Airliners have a difficult time flying without fuel. No doubt that CNN's been trying to get someone at Boeing to comment on this obvious design flaw that's only been obvious to everyone else since, oh, 1903.

Someone want to explain to me why the CNN "news team" hasn't OD'd by now? Surely what little shreds of self-respect they have would compel them to either off themselves or find different work.

Jon Stewart bashed them last night. Other than being on CNN, it has to be a horrible job to actually have to watch CNN (or Fox) and look for stuff like that.

Jeez, talk about a serious design error!

The other day the doofus in the right seat said (in full earshot of the instructor pilot on the left) that at zero fuel, the autopilot would keep bringing the nose up until the a/c did a tail slide, which (and I'm not making this up) the 777 was not designed to do.

Shouldn't a reporter have, say, at least ten hours of flight time before they're labeled an "aviation correspondent"?

CNN news staff CAN maintain altitude even without gas(sing), because they're always high?
