Trump `Akbar!

Makes perfect sense, since the Statue of Lady Liberty may have been modeled on an Arab woman.

President* Trump could effectively force Germany to reclaim its status as a world power. Not that he would care a bit.

It's entirely possible that the EU contained the seeds of its own demise by evolving around a bipolar leadership (Germany/France) that never embraced nor was embraced by the U.K. A bipolar alliance is more unstable than a tripart alliance, simply because with only two sides, the power is always tilting. Europe has benefitted from NATO, and certainly has failed to properly support its defense, and those chickens are coming home to roost now. However, the U.S. benefitted from European development and markets that were driven by those diverted funds.

I think the EU is about to crumble, and if Donnie's push continues, we'll see a U.K./France/Germany defense alliance as the leader in Europe. The Scandinavian countries will certainly hang onto that group (noting, they have actually done a decent job of defense spending, but being closer to Russia will do that to you), and then perhaps a weak southern alliance of Spain/Italy/Turkey will hang onto the periphery of the main. How long before the "third" member of the primary alliance decides they need a nuclear deterrent as well?

Poland, as always, is a biggest potential loser here, as they are loathe (for good historical reasons) to trust Germany (or Russia, for that matter), with the U.S. also taking a huge hit as overseas bases are lost and the assistance offered by the European militaries disappears (take a look at the nationality of the patrols off Somalia sometime, and you'll see what I mean).

This, from the same folks that lauded Barry the O BEFORE HE EVEN GOT INTO OFFICE...and couldn't wait to lick his ass.....The same crowd that gave him a Nobel Peace Prize when he hadn't earned it.

These are the folks I should listen to about TheDonald? I mean, I'm not saying they are right (or wrong) but their judgement (and rationality) is suspect, at best. They seem to care about hope more than substance....at best their connection with reality is sketchy.

Same folks that insist that they need even more immigrants.

The Nobel Prizes are NOT given out by Germans, but don't let that stop you.

Last time I checked, being mistaken for a German will upset a Norwegian almost as much as mistaking one for a Swede.

I believe they're called alternate facts. They fit the ideology/narrative much better.

I was talking about the leftist kind of folks, not the germans in general. Sorry I wasn't clearer. My bad. I figured you'd get my message rather than be snarky.

I can remember listening to a customer of mine...a Swede, if I remember, telling me all about how much better the world was gonna be about a week after the election in 2008...He was gonna fix everything. The "Lightbringer has arrived" and such.
Didn't turn out that way .

But seriously, these folks who loved Barry and hated Bush and hate Trump (and have no reason for either, except identity politics) are dangerous. Moreso when they have a pen and a press.

B, correcting a factual mistake is not snark, despite what Donnie says. As for your opinion on if Obama improved things, I believe he did, and most of the time with a hostile Congress. I hated G.W.Bush for the mess he made of things, I supported Obama for his goals and was disappointed that he drifted to the middle, I despise Donnie because I fear his lack of impulse control will endanger us all and because he put Bannon, purely evil human being, into a position of power.

CP: Fair enough, We disagree, but that is a clear and reasonable answer. I didn't think it was a factual mistake, merely miscommunication and failure to be clear on my part, which is on me.
